Coconut barfi is an Indian sweet recipe. It is prepared with desiccated coconut but today we showing a simple barfi with fresh coconut without khoya or mawa. Uploaded by admin on 09-Mar-2021.
1 cup coconut 1/2 cup sugar 1/2 tsp cardamom powder Pistachio flakes
Peel fresh coconut and remove brown skin with a knife. Chop coconut in small pieces. Add chopped coconut in a mixer jar and grind. Measure grounded coconut with a bowl or a cup. For 1 cup of grounded coconut take 1/2 cup sugar. Add grounded coconut in a pan, roast for 2-3 minutes on medium flame. Add 1/2 cup sugar, 1tsp ghee, 1/4 cup milk and mix nicely. Cook till all mixture becomes thick. Switch off the flame, add cardamom powder. Set the mixture in a greased mould. Flatten it and keep aside for an hour in fridge. Cut in square pieces with knife. Garnish with pistachio flakes. Homemade tasty coconut barfi is ready to serve.
