For the Makar Sankranti traditional Til and mungfali soft ladoo. This is a very traditional Indian sweet which is made during winters. Generally the til mungfali ladoo are very crunchy but by following this recipe laddus prepared will be soft and will help in fighting the bitter cold. Prepare these laddus with very simple ingredients and store them for the whole season. Happy Makar Sankranti, Uttarayan, Thai Pongal, Til Sankrant, Maghi and Magh Bihu to all.

½ cup peanuts
½ cup sesame
½ cup sugar
1 liter
½ tsp cardamom powder
Add milk in pan, allow to boil and reduce the milk till it is reduced to its ¼th quantity on low flame. Stir occasionally.

Meanwhile dry roast sesame seeds and peanuts separately in a pan for 3-4 minutes on medium flame. Allow them to cool. Roughly crush the peanuts, remove the skin and grind in a mixer jar, take out peanut powder in a bowl. Add roasted sesame seeds in the mixer jar and grind to make a coarse powder.

Now check the milk, it is now in a thick, creamy consistency. Add ground peanut and sesame seeds powder in milk and cook on low flame till all the mixture comes together in pan.

Add cardamom powder and switch off the flame. Allow to cool the mixture. Prepare small laddus from the mixture.

Soft and mouth-melting laddus are ready to eat.
