Idli Batter Salt to taste
Grease the idli mould with oil. Add salt in idli batter mix well. Fill the moulds with idli batter. Boil water in a steamer or an idli maker and place the idli mould plates in it carefully. Steam them for 10 minutes on high flame and on low flame for 5 minutes. Check with the toothpick. If it comes out clean it means the idlis are done. Take them out and allow to cool for 7-8 minutes. Demould the idlis with the help of a spoon. Have a look, super soft idlis can be prepared with homemade idli batter
