Prepare crispy aloo matar pattice this winter season. These can be prepare in minutes with simple ingredients. These pattice are very crispy and perfect for tea time snack and party snacks. Mouthwatering Matar pattice taste best with mint/coriander chutney or tomato ketchup. You can also serve these, pressed in buns as a burger or replace the normal aloo tikki for your aloo tikki chat.

For stuffing -
2 cups fresh green peas
5 garlic cloves
1 inch ginger piece
4-5 green chilis
2 tbsp desiccated coconut
1 tbsp raisins
1 tbsp cashews
1 tsp sugar
1 tbsp lemon juice
1 tsp salt
1 tsp cumin seeds
1 tbsp chopped curry leaves
2 tbsp fresh coriander
1/8 tsp baking soda
For covering –
3-4 medium size boiled potatoes
1 tsp salt
½ tsp black pepper powder
1 tbsp corn flour
1 tbsp gram flour
Or bread crumbs
Add fresh green peas in a mixer jar, add ginger, garlic, green chilis also. Grind in paste. Add water if required.

Heat a spoon oil in a pan. Crackle cumin seeds, add ground green peas paste and baking soda in pan and cook on high flame for 2-3 minutes. Add fresh coriander, curry leaves, raisins, cashews, sugar and lemon juice and salt, cook and allow to cook till mixture becomes dry.

Switch off the flame and allow to cool.

For covering, grate boiled potatoes, add salt, black pepper powder, corn flour, besan and mix. Prepare a dough, if needed you can mix dry bread crumbs.

Prepare small balls from potato mixture and green peas mixture.

Now flatten the potato mixture with oily hands, stuff the green peas ball and cover nicely. Prepare all the balls in the same way.

Heat oil in a kadai, fry all the balls on high flame, do not touch them immediately. Take out them from oil and our crispy, tasty aloo matar pattice are ready to serve.
