During ganpati festival we all are making a lot of variety of modaks, today team Food Connection brings to you a healthy version of modak recipe. These modaks are prepared with oats, whole wheat flour stuffed with healthy peanut butter and fried in extra light olive oil. You all will love to eat these healthy and tasty modaks. This festival prepare these healthy modaks for your beloved ganpati bappa, eat healthy, be healthy.

For dough -
1 cup oats
1 cup wheat flour (genhu ka aata)
2tbsp oil
1/4 tsp salt
For stuffing -
1/4 cup peanut butter
1/2 cup grated fresh coconut
1/2 cup jaggery
1 tbsp chopped almonds
1/2 tsp cardamom powder
For dough - Take 1 cup oats and grind in a fine powder. Add oats flour, 1 cup wheat flour, 1/4 tsp salt in a vessel and mix. Add 2 tbsp olive oil and mix nicely. Gradually add water and knead a tight dough. Cover and keep aside.

For stuffing, add 1/4 cup creamy peanut butter, 1/2 cup fresh grated coconut, 1/2 cup jaggery powder, 1tbsp chopped almonds 1/2 tsp cardamom powder in a bowl.

Uncover the dough and knead for a minute and prepare small lemon size balls. Roll the ball in a small disc. Cut with a round bowl. Place 1tsp prepared stuffing in the center of disc. Fold the disc as shown in the video and give modak shape. Prepare all the modaks in the same way.

Heat oil in a wok on low flame. Fry modaks on medium flame till they become light brown in colour and crispy. Take out fried modaks from the oil.

Healthy oats modaks are ready, serve in a plate and offer to ganpati bappa.
