Laddus are one of the most popular Indian sweet. There are lot of varieties of laddus prepared in India. Today we are coming with a different way of making mouth-watering laddu. These are prepared with simple ingredients, but taste totally different from other regular laddus.This is a halwai style Bikaner special laddu recipe.

50gram wheat flour (genhu aata)
50gram maida
100ml desi ghee (clarified butter)
100ml water
2 tbsp chopped cashews
1 tbsp dry rose petals
1/2 tsp cardamom powder (ilaychi powder)
Few drops of rose essence
Mix 50gram wheat flour, 50gram maida, 100ml ghee, 100ml water in a vessel, whip with hands for 2-3 minutes nicely.

Cover and keep aside for 10 minutes.

Meanwhile prepare instant khoya, add 1/2 cup milk powder, 1/4 cup milk, 1 tbsp ghee in a pan. Mix and cook on low flame till all the mixture comes together. Instant khoya is ready, keep aside.

For sugar syrup, mix 100gram sugar, 50 ml water, few strands of saffron. Cook on low flame and prepare one thread sugar syrup.

Switch off the flame and keep aside.

Place a heavy bottomed wok on low flame, add flour-ghee-water mixture in wok and cook on low flame for 20-25 minutes, stir continuously.

Now the flour-ghee-water mixture has turned light brown in colour and has thin consistency.

Add 100gram grated khoya in roasted mixture, cook for 4-5 minutes on low flame.

Switch off the flame and transfer in a big vessel. Add dry rose petals, chopped cashews, cardamom powder, rose essence in roasted mixture. Mix nicely.

Add prepared sugar syrup in roasted mixture and mix nicely. The mixture should be warm and sugar syrup should be on room temperature. Add rose essence. Mix and allow to cool a little. Prepare small laddus. Wow!! tasty whole wheat flour laddus are ready to serve.
