Basundi is a milk based dessert. It is creamy, rich and mouth-watering Indian festive dessert. You can prepare this tasty basundi with easily available ingredients at home.

Ingredients - 1 liter full fat milk 1/3 cup sliced almonds 1/3 cup sliced cashews 1 tbsp pistachio flakes 1/3 cup sugar or as per taste 1/2 tsp cardamom powder 7-8 saffron strands soaked in 1 tbsp milk
Add 1 tbsp water in wok and wet the wok. Take out extra water. Add milk in wok, allow to boil on high flame. Add soaked saffron in milk, allow to boil on low to medium flame for 3-4 minutes. Stir occasionally. Add chopped cashews, almonds, pistachio flakes in milk. Boil till milk thickens. Stir occasionally. Add sugar and boil on low flame for 2 minutes. The consistency is perfect, switch off the flame. Add cardamom powder. Allow to cool. Thick, creamy dry fruit basundi is ready.
