Poha Pakoda as the name suggest are pakoda made of Poha. We have also used good quantity of Cheese in it which is loved by all specially by kids. Poha pakoda are also similar to cheese balls prepared with an extra taste of poha. Poha pakodas are very delicious and tasty fried snacks. They are very easy to make with simple ingredients available at home and in every kitchen. A fritter which is totally veg and totally yummy. Prepare them and enjoy them with family and friends.

1 cup poha (flatten rise)
1/2 cup chopped or garted mozzarella cheese
1 boiled potato
1/2 tsp red chilli flakes
1/2 tsp oregano
1/2 tsp black pepper powder
1/2 tsp salt
¼ cup maida
Take one cup flatten rice (poha) and add luke warm rice in. Keep aside for 5 minutes.

Sieve the soaked poha and remove excess water.

Mix soaked poha and grated boiled potato in a vessel.

Add red chilli flakes, oregano, black pepper powder, salt in poha and potato mixture. Mix all the ingredients and prepare a dough.

Add chopped mozzarella cheese in prepared poha dough and mix.

Prepare small lemon size balls from the dough.

Add 1/3 cup of poha (flatten rise) in a mixer jar and prepare a fine powder.

Add maida, salt in a bowl and prepare a thin slurry using water.

Dip poha balls in the slurry and coat with ground poha. Prepare all the poha balls in the same way.

Now the poha pakora (balls) are ready for frying. You can keep them in a box and store in freezer for a month for later use.

Fry prepared poha pakora in hot oil on high flame till they become golden brown in colour.

Take out all the fried poha pakora from oil.

Fry the Poha Balls pakora in the hot oil, do not pour many pakoras in one go or they may split open.

Crispy poha pakoras are ready to serve.
