Crispy and tasty moong dal aloo pakodas are mouth watering. This moong dal pakora is an authentic and perfect recipe. This is a famous street food and specially enjoyed during winter and rainy days. These are very simple and can be prepared with easily available ingredients.

1 cup of green moong dal (soaked for 4-5 hours)
3-4 chopped green chillis (hari mirch)
2 tbsp grated ginger (kasi hui adrak)
7-8 cloves ( long)
10-12 whole pepper corns (sabut kali mirch)
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp turmeric powder
1 cup of chopped fresh coriander (hara dhaniya)
1 cup of chopped fresh frnugreek leaves (hari methi)
2 medium size finely chopped potatoes
Soak green moong dal for 4-5 hours, after 5 hours gently rub the soaked dal with palms and remove the skin. Drain out the excess water and skin from the dal.

Repeat this method till all the skin is removed from the dal.

Add deskinned dal in a mixer jar and grind in to fine paste.

Transfer the ground dal in a bowl and beat till it becomes light and frothy.

Add crushed clove and pepper corns in dal paste, add salt, turmeric powder,

grated ginger, chopped green chillies, fresh coriander, fresh chopped methi

(fenugreek leaves), finely chopped potatoes in dal paste and mix.

Fry pakoras in hot oil on medium flame.

Take out from oil.

For next batch keep the oil heated so that on frying pakoras they will not absorb much oil.

To increase the taste I am frying fresh chilies in hot oil on low flame for 10-20 seconds. Sprinkle salt on fried chillies.

Our mouth watering pakoras are ready to serve.

You can enjoy these pakoras with fried green chillies, sliced

onions, green chutney and tomato ketchup.
