Anarse is very popular authentic and traditional sweet recipe prepared with rice flour. They are very tasty and crispy. In Maharashta anarse prepared on diwali festival and in Uttar Pradesh anarse are enjoyed in rainy season or in the month of sawan. This anarsa recipe is instant and hassle free.

1 cup rice flour
1/3 cup powdered sugar
1 tbsp ghee
Poppy seeds / khaskhas
1/4 cup milk or as needed
Use any type of rice for anarse. Add in a mixture jar for making rice flour. Grind and sieve. Leftover ground rice can again be grinded and sieved.

Measure 1 cup rice flour and add in a bowl.

Add 1/3 cup powdered sugar, 1 tbsp ghee and mix nicely.

Gradually add milk and knead the dough.

Cover and keep aside for 10 minutes.

Prepare small balls from the rice dough and flatten them with palm.

Add poppy seeds in a plate and coat prepared anarse from one side.

Fry anarse in medium hot oil, keep flame to low to medium till they become golden brown. Do not touch immediately.

Gently flip and fry from other side too.

Take them out from oil.

Fry all the anarse in the same way.

Super crunchy and instant anarses are ready. Store in an airtight container.
