Besan sabzi recipe was usually prepared by my grandmom so we can say it as her recipe. She was making this besan curry for us when we felt bored with the regular green vegetables and dal. This is a very simple and quick recipe. It can be prepared in few minutes with fewer ingredients which are always available in our kitchen pantry.

1/2 cup gram flour (besan)
1 cup chopped spring onions
1 tsp salt
1 tsp red chilli powder
1 tsp coriander powder
1/2 tsp turmeric powder
Add gram flour in a bowl. Gradually mix 1 glass water and prepare a thin batter.

Heat 2-3 tbsp oil in a wok.

Crackle mustard seeds and, cumin seeds. Add spring onions and cook for 2 minutes.

Add red chilli powder, turmeric powder, coriander powder, salt and cook for 2 minutes.

Add gram flour mixture in wok and cook for 2-3 minutes.

Add 1/2 glass of water and mix.

Now cover and cook for 5-6 minutes.

Uncover and check the consistency of the mixture. If it is thick and if the mixture shines, it means this sabzi is ready. Switch off the flame. Garnish with spring onions greens and serve hot with roti and chapati.
