Afghani Fateer Pyaji is a layered baked bread. It is very tasty and crispy. In this video we are going to show two methods of making of Afghani bread in very easy and simple steps. Enjoy this homemade bread.

350g flour (maida)
1.5 tsp instant dry yeast
1 tsp salt
1 tbsp powdered sugar
1/4 cup fresh coriander
1 thin sliced onion
red chilli flakes
1/2 cup butter
1. Add sugar, salt and dry yeast in flour and mix nicely.

2. Add 1 tsp butter or oil and mix.

3. Prepare a soft and sticky dough using water.

4. Add butter and knead the dough for 3-4 minutes and make it smooth.

5. Grease the dough with butter, cover and keep aside for an hour in a warm place.

6. After one hour the dough has doubled in size.

7. Punch the dough and divide the dough into 7-8 portions.

8. Prepare balls, place in a plate, cover with a kitchen towel and keep aside for 10 minutes.

9. Roll a ball in a thin disc with a greased rolling pin on a greased board.

10. Grease the rolled disc with melted butter.

11. Sprinkle some sliced onion, fresh coriander and red chilli flakes on rolled disc.

12. Gently roll the disc.

13. Grease the log with butter, roll and make it round as shown in the video.

14. Prepare all the rolls like this. Cover and keep aside for 10 minutes.

15. Gently press the roll with the hands and flatten it.

16. Prick with a fork and apply milk.

17. Place on a greased baking tray.

18. Bake in preheated oven for 10-12 minutes on 200 degrees Celsius.

19. Take out from the oven.

20. This is perfectly baked and crispy.

21. For second method, roll the discs with hands.

22. Prick with a fork.

23. Grease tawa with butter and roast prepared Afghani bread on tawa from both sides on low flame.

24. It is very perfectly cooked and crispy.
