Methi Vadi is a healthy, tasty and easy to make. This is a steamed snack recipe.

1 cup gram flour (besan)
2 cups fresh and chopped fenugreek leaves (Hari methi)
1/4 cup wheat flour (genhu ka aatta)
1 tsp red chilli powder
1/4 tsp turmeric powder
1 tsp salt
1 tbsp sugar
1/2 tsp baking soda
1 tbsp lemon juice
A pinch of hing
1 tsp green chilli paste
For tempering-
1 tbsp oil, 1 tbsp sesame seeds
Add gram flour, wheat flour, red chilli powder, turmeric powder, carom seeds, sugar, baking soda, salt, hing, green chilli paste, chopped curry leaves, fresh fenugreek leaves in a bowl. Mix nicely.

Add lemon juice and oil in flour mixture.

Add water and collect the flour and prepare a tight dough.

Grease a 6 inch square tin with oil or grease a plate.

Spread the prepared dough in a tin and flatten with a spoon. Boil water in a big vessel, place a ring and tin. Cover and allow to steam for 15-20 minutes on high.

Check with a toothpick. It is perfectly steamed. Remove from flame and allow to cool completely.

Flip and demould the steamed dough.

Cut in square pieces.

Wow!! just perfect.

For tempering heat oil in a wok. Crackle sesame seeds.

Add steamed methi vadi and give a nice stir.

Healthy and tasty methi vadis are ready to serve.
