Chocolate cake is loved by all in any age group. This chocolate cake is prepared for my husband's birthday celebrations. This is an easy, quick and no hassle free eggless chocolate cake, which you can prepare with out any special equipment or expertise. 1 cup = 200ml For cake sponge 1+1/2 cup flour/ maida/all purpose flour 1/2 cup unsalted butter 1 cup powdered sugar 4 tbsp cocoa powder 1 tsp baking soda 1/4 tsp salt 1 tbsp vinegar 1 tsp vanilla essence For chocolate frosting- 200ml Amul fresh cream 400g chopped dark chocolate For soaking syrup - 2 tbsp sugar, 2 tbsp water
Prepare 7-8 inch cake tin with butter and flour. I have measured all the ingredients with these measuring cups. 1 cup=200ml Add sugar and butter in a bowl and beat till it becomes smooth. Sieve flour, salt, baking soda, cocoa powder in butter-sugar mixture. Mix. Add 1 tsp instant coffee powder in 200ml hot water. Add vanilla essence, vinegar, coffee mixture in cake mixture. Mix gently. Pour in prepared cake tin. Tap for 2-3 times. Bake in a preheated oven for 30-35 minutes on 180 degrees. Meanwhile we will prepare chocolate frosting for decoration. Heat cream till bubbles prepares on the sides of pan. Switch off the flame. Add chopped chocolate and keep aside for 15 minutes. Mix gently. Perfect!! Keep aside for 30 minutes on room temperature. Take out the cake from oven and check with a toothpick. Check it with a toothpick and allow to cool completely. Demould the cake. Perfect consistency of ganache. Place cake board on turntable. Put a little of ganache on board and place cake. Remove dome from the cake with a knife. Slice the cake. For soaking syrup mix 2tbsp water in 2 tbsp powdered sugar. Soak cake with soaking syrup. Place prepared ganache on cake and spread evenly. Place second slice of cake, soak with soaking syrup and cover with ganache and give finishing with a off set spatula. Now clean the board with a paper napkin. Here I have used Wilton 1M for rosettes and Noor 14 for small stars. Place them on piping bags and fill with ganache. Decorate cake as shown in the video or as per your choice. Decorate cake bottom with colourful sprinkles. Place a silver sugar ball on stars. or decorate as per your choice. Delicious and beautiful cake is ready
