1/2 Cup Sooji 1 tbsp Milk powder 1 Cup milk A pinch of baking powder 1 tsp ghee 1 cup Sugar Cardamom powder Saffron strands
Add 1 tsp ghee in a pan, add sooji and roast for 3-4 minutes on low flame. For sugar syrup, add sugar and 1 cup water in a sauce pan, melt sugar and make a sticky sugar add saffron strands and cardamom powder. Mix and keep aside. Add one cup milk and cook till mixture comes together, transfer in a plate and allow to cool for 2 minutes. Add milk powder, baking soda and make a smooth soft and crack free dough. Prepare small lemon size balls and flatten them gently. Now fry in medium hot oil / ghee till they become dark brown and dip in sugar syrup, keep aside for 30 minutes. Take them out from sugar syrup garnish with pistachio flakes.
