1/2 Cup Jau daliya (broken barley) 1/2 Cup Green moongdal 1/4 Cup potato cubes 1/4 Cup French beans 1/4 Cup Carrots 1/4 Cup fresh green peas 1 sliced onions 1 tsp red chili powder 1/4 tsp Turmeric powder 1 tsp Salt 1 tsp Cumin seeds 1 tsp Mustard seeds 1 Green chili Fresh coriander 1 tsp Oil / Ghee
Wash jau daliya and moongdal with water, transfer in a pressure cooker, add 2 cups of water and 1/2 tsp Salt. Take 4-5 whistles on medium flame, let it cool. Keep aside. Take a steamer, add potato, french beans, carrots, green peas and steam for 5-6 minutes. Add 1 tsp ghee / oil in a pan, crackle cumin seeds and mustard seeds. Add onions , fresh curry leaves, green chili and cook for a minute. Add steamed vegetables, add red chili powder, turmeric and salt, cook for 2 minutes, and mix in boiled jau and moongdal, add fresh coriander and mix. Serve hot and enjoy healthy weightloss, gluten free food.
