Sarso da saag is a popular punjabi sabji recipe, today we will make it with proper method and ingredients.

300 gram sarso ka saag
150 gram palak (spinach)
100 gram bathua
2 handful fresh fenugreek (methi)
1/4cup chopped garlic
1/4cup chopped ginger
1 finely chopped onion
4 green chilis
1tsp red chilis
1 tsp garam masala
1/2 cup ghee / butter
Clean all green vegetables, wash them with water for 2-3 times, Chop them.

Add all leafy vegetables in a wok, add salt, 1 tbsp garlic, 1 tbsp ginger, green chilis, 200ml water and mix, cook on low flame for 50-60 minutes. Stir occasionally. After 60 minutes, mash the cooked leafy vegetable with a wooden masher, add 2 tbsp maize flour andmix, cook for 2 minutes, remove from stove.

Heat another pan, add ¼ cup ghee,heat,crackle cumin seeds, add chopped garlic, ginger and green chilis, cook for a minute, add chopped onions, cook for a minute, add red chili powder, garam masala and mix. Add cooked green vegetables and mix, cook on low flame for 2-3 minutes.

Sarso kasaag is ready to serve, enjoy this authentic and tasty saag with makke ki roti.
