1 cup rice 1 cup cauli flower florets 1sliced onion 1 chopped potato ½ cup fresh green peas ½ cup chopped carrots 1 tsp red chili powder 1 tsp garam masala 1 tsp salt ½ tsp haldi powder 1tsp cumin seeds
Wash rice and soak in water, keep aside. Heat 1tbsp oil. Crackle cumin seeds, add green chilis,. Add onion and cook for few seconds, add carrots, potatoes, cauli flower florets. Fresh green peas, add ½ tsp salt and stir well. Add 1/4 cup water and cover. Cook for 3-4 minutes, now uncover and add red chili powder, garam masala, turmeric powder, 1/2 tsp salt, mix and cook for a minute, add 2 cups hot water, add soaked rice and mix gently. Cover and allow to cook for 10-12 minutes or till water absorbs properly. Switch off the flame, give a gentle stir, cover and keep aside. After 10 minutes, give a gentle stir and serve hot.
