This dal pakwan is very popular sindhi streetfood, today we will make it with simple ingredients, you will definitely enjoy this dish.

For pakwan –
1/2 Cup Maida
1 tbsp Sooji
1 tsp Salt
1 tsp Cumin seeds
1 tbsp Oil
For dal –
1/2 Cup soaked chana dal
1 raw peeled potato
1 tsp Salt
1 tsp Turmeric powder
For tadka –
1 tsp Oil
1 tsp red chili powder
For serving –
Finely chopped onions
Finely chopped green chilis
Finely chopped fresh coriander
Green coriander chutney
Tamarind chutney
Red chili powder
Salt
Black salt
Roasted cumin powder
Add soaked chana dal in a pressure cooker, add 1 cup water, salt, turmeric powder, and raw potato, cover the lid and take 3-4 whistles on medium flame. Keep aside.

For pakwan – mix maida, sooji, salt, jeera, salt and oil in a vessel. Prepare a dough using water. Cover and keep aside for 10 minutes.

Now prepare small lemon size balls from the dough and roll them in a thin disc, prick with a fork and place on a kitchen napkin, prepare all the papdis and keep them uncover on kitchen napkin.

After 10 minutes, fry them in hot oil on low to medium flame and make them crispy and light golden colour. Take them out and allow to cool. Now keep them in airtight container.

Now open pressure cooker and mash dal and potato with a back of spoon.

For tadka heat 1 tbsp oil and add 1 tsp red chili powder, pour over the boiled mashed dal, garnish with fresh coriander. dal should be thick.

Dal and pakwan is ready. For serving, serve dal in a flat bowl, add onions, green chilis, fresh coriander, dhaniya chutney, tamarind chutney, red chili powder, salt and red chili powder.

Serve with fried pakwan, enjoy sindhi famous dal pakwan.
