For chawal roti - 2 cups rice flour (for 4 roti) 1 cup hot water For peetla - 2tbsp besan 1 tsp mustard seeds 1 tbsp chopped garlic 1 tbsp chopped ginger 1 tbsp chopped green chili Few curry leaves 1/2tsp turmeric powder 1 tsp salt Fresh coriander
For peetla, Mix besan and add 1/2 cup luke warm water and prepare a batter. heat 1 tsp oil, crackle mustard seeds, add curry leaves, green chilis, garlic and ginger and cook for a minute. Add besan batter and mix, add 2 cups of water. Cook on low flame for 10 minutes, add salt and fresh coriander. Switch off the flame and keep aside. For rice roti, add rice flour in hot water, mix and transfer in a plate. Collect the dough and sprinkle water over it, and prepare a soft dough. Knead and make the dough smooth. Divide the dough in 4 equal parts. Now wet a metal plate with water, Place a rice ball on the plate, flatten the ball with palm and prepare a thin roti. Place on a tot tawa and roast the roti from both sides. Serve this roti with besan peetla.
