Cream rolls are loved by all. These are crispy from outside and sweet and creamy from inside. Today we are coming with whole wheat, eggless, no oven puff pastry sheet cream roll recipe. You will definitely enjoy them. Uploaded by admin on 27-Aug-2021.
150 gram 1 + 1/4 cup whole wheat flour 80gram ghee ½ tsp Salt 1/2 tsp vinegar / lemon juice For cream – 50 gram butter 100gram powdered sugar
Keep ghee in fridge for one hour, take out ghee from the oven, Beat for 2 minutes using Hand Beater or by using fork to make it creamy. Keep in fridge for later use. For dough, Mix flour, salt, vinegar in a bowl, add 1 tbsp chilled ghee and mix nicely, prepare soft dough using chilled water. Knead for 3-4 minutes and make it smooth. Cover and keep aside for 10 minutes. After 10 minutes, knead again for minute and roll in a big rectangular sheet with the help of rolling pin, divide the chilled ghee in 3 equal portions. Apply one part of chilled ghee on the sheet, sprinkle dry flour and fold it like an envelope (see the video for reference). Change the direction of sheet. Roll it again in a rectangle sheet, apply second portion of the chilled ghee, sprinkle dry flour and fold in a shape of envelope. Cover with a cling film and keep in fridge for an hour. After an hour take out the sheet from the fridge and remove the cling film, roll in a rectangle sheet in a big rectangle shape. Apply rest of the portion of ghee, sprinkle dry flour and fold the sheet like a book fold. Now again roll in rectangle sheet of about 1/4Th inch thickness. Remove uneven sides with a sharp knife and make it a perfect rectangle. Now cut 1 inch strips from the sheets. For cone, fold a thick paper in cone shape, secure with the help of the stapler. Cover the paper cone with an aluminum foil paper. Roll the strips on the prepared cone, secure the ends and starting part of the strip nicely. Prepare all the cone in the same way. Preheat the oven on 200 degrees and preheat a kadai too on low flame for 10 minutes. Place a parchment paper on plates and assemble prepared roll on prepared baking plates. Bake the rolls at 200 degrees for 25-30 minutes. Bake in kadai on low flame for 30 minutes. After 30 minutes, take out the baked roll from the oven and kadai, allow to cool for 2-5 minutes, remove the cones from the paper cones. Allow them to cool completely on a wire rack. For cream add 50gram butter which is at room temperature. And beat for 2 minutes with an electric beater, add 100 gram powdered sugar. Our butter cream is ready. Place a star nozzle in a piping bag, fill the prepared butter cream and pipe out in baked rolls. Decorate with a piece of cherry and enjoy homemade whole wheat ghee aata cream rolls.
