Meethi boondi is very tasty, authentic sweet recipe. Today we will show a quick and easy method of making perfect sweet boondi at home with 2-3 ingredients only.

1 cup besan
1 tbsp melon seeds
Dry rose petals
A pinch of red and green food colour
For sugar syrup –
1 cup / 200gram sugar
3/4 cup water
½ tsp cardamom powder
Sieve besan and prepare a thick, lump free batter using water. Take out 2-2 tbsp batter in 2 bowls. Add red food colour in one bowl and green food colour in another bowl. Mix nicely and keep aside.

For sugar syrup, mix sugar and water in a sauce pan, allow to melt sugar and prepare a sticky sugar syrup. Add cardamom powder. Keep aside.

Take a big hole sieve (especially available for boondi laddu). Heat oil / ghee in a wok.

Keep the sieve at a height of 4-5 inch from the heated ghee and pour prepared batter on sieve. Allow to fry the boondis in ghee on medium flame for a minute. Take out all boondis from the wok and keep aside. Do the same for other colour batters.

Now again warm sugar syrup for 2 minutes, add fried boondis, dry rose petals, roasted melon seeds. Mix gently and cover. Keep aside for 30 minutes. After 30 minutes, mix and pour all the soaked boondis in a sieve, so that if there any sugar syrup left, it will remove. Allow to dry boondis for one –two hours. Enjoy homemade sweet/meethi boondis.
