We all love Moong Dal Pakora and the crispiness of dal really brings out the taste, but its deep fried . But what if i tell you you can eat them even when you are on a diet, here i have presented you a recipe of moon daal pakoda in appam maker , its easy and perfect for healthy breakfast. 1 cup yellow moong dal soaked for 3-4 hours 1/2 cup finely chopped onion 1 tbsp grated ginger 1 tbsp chopped green chilis 1 tsp red chili powder 1 tsp garam masala 1 tsp salt ¼ cup fresh coriander ¼ tsp baking soda A pinch of hing
Remove all water from the soaked dal, transfer dal in a mixer jar and grind in a coarse paste. Transfer dal in a bowl and beat with your hands for 5-6 minutes. Add 1 tbsp grated ginger, 1 tbsp chopped green chilis, 1/2 cup finely chopped onion, fresh coriander, garam masala, tsp red chili powder, a pinch of hing and salt and mix nicely with your hands. Add 1/4 baking soda and mix. Heat a appam pan, grease with oil. Fill the appam maker cavities with prepared dal mixture. Cover and allow to cook for 5 minutes on low flame. After 5 minutes, flip with the help of a spoon and allow to cook on low flame for 5 minutes. Take out from the appam maker and enjoy with green chutney.
