In winter season we love to eat food made with fresh green peas. Today we are going to show a quick, simple aloo matar sabzi which is prepared without garlic and onion. It is perfect for lunch and dinner time. You can enjoy it with puri, paratha or chapati.

3 medium size boiled potatoes
2 cup fresh green peas
1 cup chopped tomatoes
1 inch grated ginger
2 chopped green chilli
1/2 cup fresh curd
Fresh coriander
2 tbsp oil
1 tsp cumin seeds
1 tsp red chilli powder
1 tsp coriander powder
1/2 tsp turmeric powder
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp sugar
1/2 tsp garam masala
Add 1/2 tsp salt, 1/2 tsp sugar and fresh green peas in boiling water. Allow cooking on medium flame for 3-4 minutes.

Switch off the flame, Sieve and immediately dip in cold water. keep aside.

Heat oil in a wok, crackle cumin seeds. Add asafoetida.

Add grated ginger and chopped green chili and cook for a minute.

Add turmeric powder, coriander powder, red chili powder, stir. Add curd and cook till fat release from the curd.

Add chopped tomatoes, salt, water. Cover and allow to cook till tomatoes get soft.

Add fresh green peas, boiled, mashed potatoes and water. Allow boiling on low flame for 10 minutes.

Add garam masala and fresh coriander. Switch off the flame and serve hot with chapati or paratha.
