Chaat- one of the most favorite street food in India. We Indians love to eat chaat. This jagannath chaat is easy to make and delicious. Perfect for kitty party and weekends

1 cup yellow dried peas (soaked overnight) 1 boiled and mashed potatoes 1/2 cup chopped onions 1/2 cup chopped tomatoes 1 tbsp ginger-chilli paste 1 tbsp red chilli powder 1 tsp coriander powder 1/2 tsp turmeric powder 1 tsp salt 1 tsp chaat masala 1/2 tsp garam masala For assembling - Fried papad, chopped onion, chopped tomatoes, fresh coriander, red chilli powder, salt, roasted cumin seeds, chaat masala, nylon sev
Soak yellow dried peas overnight in water.

Add soaked peas, salt, turmeric in pressure cooker. take 5-6 whistle on medium flame.

Heat oil in a wok and fry 2-3 papad.

Crackle cumin seeds, add onions and ginger-chilli paste and cook on low flame for 2 minutes.

Add red chilli powder, turmeric powder, coriander powder, 1/2 tsp salt and cook for a minute. Add tomatoes cover and cook for 4-5 minutes on low flame.

Masala is cooked properly. Add boiled and mashed potatoes, chaat masala and garam masala. Stir.

Meanwhile open the pressure cooker. Peas are perfectly cooked.

Add boiled peas along with water and allow to cook on low flame for 5 minutes.

Consistency is perfect, switch off the flame, garnish with fresh coriander.

For serving - serve prepared peas curry in a plate, chopped onion, chopped tomatoes, tamarind chutney, green chutney, roasted cumin powder, chaat masala, salt, red chilli powder, nylon sev, fresh coriander, and crushed fried papad.

Serve immediately.
