400 Gram Sabudana (soaked for 3 hours) 3 Medium Sized boiled potato 2 Chopped green chili 1/2 Cup Peanuts 1/3 Cup Cashews 1/3 Cup Raisins 1/4 Cup Pure Ghee (Clarified butter) 1 Tsp White Pepper Powder 1 Tsp Rock Salt 1/2 Tsp Turmeric Powder 1 Tsp Cumin seeds 1 Tbsp lemon Juice 1/2 Cup Pomegranate (Optional) Fresh Coriander
Wash sabudana with clean water, remove excess water, cover and keep aside for 3 hours. Separate the sago with hands so that the khichadi does not become sticky. Heat ghee in a pan and spread the ghee all over the sides of the pan. Crackle the cumin seeds. Add green chili. Stir it. Add peanuts, cashews and raisins and cook for 2-3 minutes. Add turmeric powder. Add mashed potato and cook for 2-3 minutes. Add soaked sabudana, white pepper and salt and mix well. Add lemon juice and close the lid. Keep it covered for 10minutes on low flame. Switch off the flame and give it a stir. Add pomegranate and coriander. Keep the lid closed for 10 minutes. Falhari non-sticky khichdi is ready
I am an explorer of food and I feel that people who love to eat are always the best people. I am passionate about cooking and firmly believe in the fact that a recipe has no soul, but you, as a cook, with your affection can bring soul to the recipe. I like to show creativity with dishes which can be made with easily available ingredients in the kitchen.
