Gobhi Manchurian

Gobi Manchurian is one of the most favorite Chinese dish among Indians. Generally we all order it in restaurants. Today I am Going to show a simple and quick video on how to make gobhi manchurian at home in an easy manner with simple and easily available ingredients. It is perfect as a party starter.



Preparation And Cooking Time

Cooking Method :   

3 Cups of cauliflower florets

 1/2 Cup finely chopped onion

 1 Tbsp finely chopped garlic

 1 Tsp finely chopped ginger

 2 Finely chopped green chilli

 1/2 Cup spring onion's greens

 3 Tbsp all purpose flour (maida)

 4 Tbsp cornflour

 3 Tsp salt

 1/2 Tsp black pepper powder

 1 Tbsp tomato ketchup

 1 Tbsp vinegar

 1 Tsp red chilli sauce

 1 Tbsp dark soya sauce

 Oil for fry

Add 2tsp salt and cauliflower florets in boiling water. Allow to boil for 6-7 minutes on high flame.

Switch off the flame and drain the excess water.

Add 3tbsp maida, 3tbsp corn flour, 1/2 tsp salt in a bowl and make a thick paste using water.

Add boiled cauliflower florets in the batter and mix properly.

Fry in hot oil till they become crispy.

Take them out and fry all the cauliflower florets in the same way.

Fry them again on high flame till they become brown in colour.

Take them out.

Heat oil in a wok.

Add garlic, green chilli, ginger and cook for a minute.

Add onion and cook for 2 minutes on high flame.

Add soya sauce, chilli sauce, tomato ketchup, black pepper powder, 1/2 tsp salt.

Add 2 tbsp water in 1tbsp corn flour and mix well.

Add corn flour slurry in wok and mix. Cook for a minute. Add spring onions’ greens, vinegar and fried cauliflowers. Mix well.

Garnish with greens and serve hot.
