Potato Popcorn

Easy, instant and can be prepared with 2 main ingredients.

Cooking Method :   

  3 medium size boiled potatoes

  1/2 Cup gram flour (chickpea flour, besan)

  1/2 Tsp red chilli powder

  1/2 Tsp black pepper powder

  1 chopped green chilli

  1/4 Cup fresh coriander

  1/2 Cup homemade dry bread crumbs

  Chaat masala

  Salt to taste

Grate boiled potatoes.

Add gram flour, green chilli, red chilli powder, fresh coriander, salt, black pepper powder and mix with hands.

We have to mix all the ingredients. Don't over knead.

Roughly make small balls from the potato dough.

Prepare all like this. This uneven shape gives it more crispiness.

Take dry bread crumbs in a plate and coat all the pieces with dry bread crumbs. Do it gently.

Remove excess bread crumbs and collect them in a bowl.

They are ready for frying.

Fry in hot oil on high flame.

Don't touch them immediately.

After I minute, flip and fry till they turn golden brown.

Take them out.

Look!! How crispy from outside and soft from inside.

Sprinkle chaat masala and fresh coriander. Mix and serve with lemon wedges.

Crispy & yummy potato popcorns are ready to serve.
