- For Chakki

  1+1/2 Cup Wheat flour

  1 Tsp. salt

  1/8 Tsp. Baking soda

For Gravy

  1/2 Cup Onion paste

  1 Tbsp. Ginger-garlic-green chilli paste

  1+1/2 Cup Tomato puree

  1/2 Cup Curd

  1 Tbsp. red chilli powder

  1 Tbsp. Coriander powder

  1/2 Tsp. Turmeric powder

  1/2 Tsp Garam masala

  1 Tsp salt, 1tbsp Kasuri Methi

  2 Tbsp oil + for frying

  1 bay leaf, 1 cinnamon stick

Add wheat flour, salt in a vessel and mix.

Prepare a soft dough using water.

Spread the dough and make two three wells and sprinkle water over the dough.

Cover and keep aside for 10 minutes.

Uncover and add baking soda in the dough and knead it.

Grease the sieve plate. Spread the dough on plate and flatten with hands.

Steam in a steamer for 10 minutes on high flame.

Allow to cool and cut in small square pieces with a sharp knife.

It is soft and spongy.

Fry in hot oil. Take out from oil.

For gravy Heat oil. Crackle cumin seeds and add bay leaf and cinnamon stick.

Add ginger-garlic- chilli paste and cook for 2-3 minutes.

Add onion paste and cook for 5-6 minutes.

Add red chilli powder, coriander powder, turmeric powder and salt.

Add curd and mix well. Cook it.

Add tomato puree. Add 1 cup of water and cover. Cover and cook for 15-20 minutes on low flame.

Uncover and cook for 2-3 minutes more on low flame.

It is perfectly cooked.

Add fried aatta chakki in prepared gravy.

Add garam masala and kasoori methi.

Mix and switch off the flame.
