500ml full cream milk
Puffed lotus seeds (makhana)
-2tbsp. sugar (less than 1/2 cup)
Tsp. Cardamom powder
strands of saffron (soaked in 1 tsp milk)
Clarified butter (ghee)
Add ghee and
roast lotus seeds till they become crispy.
Add milk in a
wok and bring to a boil.
saffron and cook for 5 minutes on medium flame.
crush the roasted lotus seeds with a rolling pin.
lotus seeds in milk and cook for 7-8 minutes on low flame.
Add sugar and
cook for 5 minutes.
Switch off the
flame. Add cardamom powder, almond flakes and pistachio flakes and mix.
