Basic Bread Loaf

Yessss. Now you can bake your own soft and moist bread at home with some easy steps. Lets begin....



Preparation And Cooking Time

Cooking Method :   

  400g maida (APF)

  1/4 Cup Butter / Oil

  1/4 Cup Sugar

  2.5tsp Yeast

  1/4 Cup Milk Powder

  1+1/4tsp Salt

  1+1/8 Cup Lukewarm Water

Mix maida, salt, yeast, milk powder and sugar.

Add lukewarm water and prepare a soft and sticky dough.

Grease the platform with oil and knead the dough.

Knead the dough until it becomes stretchable and does not break.

The dough has smoothened now.

Now collect the dough and make a ball.

Place the dough in a greased bowl, grease the dough also.

Cover for 40-50 minutes and let it rise at room temperature (preferably warm place) until it has doubled in size.

Dust the platform with flour. Spread the dough into a rectangular shape with a rolling pin according to the pan size. Pan size is 23cm*10cm*8.5cm.

Roll up tightly into a log.

Pinch the ends.

Place the dough in greased loaf pan. Cover with a cloth and let it rise for 30-40 minutes.

Uncover and brush the loaf with milk and butter.

Bake in a preheated oven at 200 degree for first 10 minutes.

Bake for another 25-30 minutes at 180 degree Celsius.

Remove the bread from the oven.

Tap the bread loaf to hear the hollow sound to check whether it is done or not.

Brush the bread loaf with butter. Allow to cool for 10 minutes.

Demould it and allow to cool on rack.

The bread came out super soft.

After it is cooled completely, cut the bread loaf in slices with a serrated knife.
